Abstract
In this chapter teen dating violence (TDV) is described and defined along with its prevalence and consequences for health and mental health. We also identify risk and protective factors and promising areas for future research. Finally, we provide an overview of current research on effective means of preventing teen dating violence and intervening with teen victims and perpetrators. We conclude by discussing some of the measurement instruments and associated challenges.
