Abstract

In 2016, Shakespeare Festival St. Louis will present a full-length documentary chronicling two years of our experiences producing Shakespeare in the Streets (SITS). SITS is a grassroots theatrical experience that invites a St. Louis community to share its stories with the region, using Shakespeare as a creative lens. This short video is a preview, focusing on the development and performance of SITS: Old North in 2015. THE WORLD BEGUN, an original play by Nancy Bell, based on TWELFTH NIGHT, was performed in and inspired by Old North St. Louis. The project is produced by Shakespeare Festival St. Louis.
