Abstract
St. Louis is famous for being founded at the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers. But connected to these major continental waterways are 170 tributaries, a combined 2,100 stream miles. The region is literally laced with riverian space. These watercourses have, however, long been overlooked as resources to community, health, and property value.
