Research output: Other contribution

Abstract

UMSL Economics Professor Emeritus Susan Feigenbaum and her husband, Dr. Jay S. Pepose, are funding a demonstration project that will match UMSL freshmen who are first-generation college students with dedicated faculty mentors who will help ease their transition into the university setting. The Proud to Be First Scholars Program was created to honor Feigenbaum and Chancellor Emeritus Blanche Touhill and in memory of former Department of Economics Chair Sharon Levin, all of whom were first-generation students.
