Making a Mountain Into a Molehill

Research output: Other contribution

Abstract

Many issues complicate family systems, making the ideal of holistic wellness seem almost mountainous. This edited volume (see record  2005-04734-000 ) addresses some of the most difficult and challenging situations encountered by professionals treating families, and it provides practical applications of the family health approach, thus attempting to turn a therapeutic mountain into a manageable molehill. The text's success in achieving this task is unbalanced, as some of its chapters provide a better tool for moving the mountain than do others. As a practice text, this book's strength is found in those chapters that not only provide overviews of the social issue being discussed but also use case examples to illustrate complexities and then provide practical applications of the family health approach.
