N1 - The complex salt [NMe 3H][3,3-Cl 2-3,3-(CO) 2-cl oso-3,1,2-ReC 2B 9H 11] was reacted with a series of neutral P-donor ligands, including phosphines and phophites. In the case of PPh 3, double B-vertex excision has yielded the structurally unusual complex [7,10-μ-H-7-CO-7,7-(PPh 3) 2-isonido-7 ,8,9-ReC 2B 7H 9], which was highly luminescent in solution at ambient temperatures and undergoes a reversible one-electron oxidation.
