Abstract

For the sixth consecutive year, the American Optometric Association (AOA) Contact Lens & Cornea Section (CLCS) presented a two-hour course on the topic of “Clinical Controversies” at Optometry’s Meeting, which took place in June in Denver. The focus of the 2018 Clinical Controversies program was two-fold: 1) Myopia Management, and 2) Controversies in Advocacy. The latter topic, presented by CLCS Past Chair Dr. Jeff Sonsino, will be published as a separate article.

An audience response system was used to poll eye-care practitioners (ECPs) in attendance about their preferences as they pertained to the various corrections. This system was coordinated by former American Optometric Student Association national liaison to the CLCS, Dr. Taylor Little. Many of these responses are included in this article.
