About
Professor Xu received his B.S. degree in chemistry, an M.S. degree in electrical engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, and his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh. He held a postdoctoral position at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana prior to joining the UMSL faculty in 1994.
