About

Dr. Stephanie Merritt received her Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Michigan State University in 2007. Her program of research centers on attitudes and their relationships with behaviors and focuses on three major areas. Exploring prejudice and discrimination in organizations, particularly in terms of how implicit (i.e., automatically activated) attitudes affect attitudes and behaviors. Identification and trust and other individual difference predictors of trust in automated systems. Examination of the role of attitudes and expectations in college student retention. Overarching all of these areas is an interest in attitude conceptualization and measurement.
