About

Shea Kerkhoff is an associate professor of secondary education at the University of Missouri-St. Louis’ College of Education. She holds a Ph.D. from North Carolina State University in curriculum and instruction. Dr. Kerkhoff utilizes mixed methods to investigate literacy and global teacher education. Her work has been published in Teaching and Teacher EducationReading and Writing: An Interdisciplinary Journal, and Reading Research Quarterly. She previously taught high school English for seven years in North Carolina and the District of Columbia. Currently, she is a co-Principal Investigator on the Missouri Comprehensive Literacy State Development grant, supporting 80 schools across the state.
