About

Sarah Jackson joins UMSL as full-time faculty after teaching in the graduate program part-time for six years prior. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive family practice experience in a variety of settings. Dr. Jackson is passionate about helping her patients achieve their own best health, as well as her students the knowledge and ability to provide this care. As the science of nursing is always evolving, she enjoys investigating the most recent data in effective disease management and best care delivery.

Dr. Jackson’s RN experience was based in high-risk obstetrics in a hospital setting, particularly with high-risk and underserved populations. She believes strongly in equal access to care, healthcare equity, and improving quality while decreasing costs. Dr. Jackson completed her BSN at Deaconess College of Nursing. She completed both her MSN and DNP at UMSL.
