About
Jennifer J. Nolan’s primary teaching interests include cultural diversity, gender studies, popular culture, religion and ritual magic, and museum studies. She has an interdisciplinary background combining anthropology with history and museum studies, previously creating and delivering educational programming at the Saint Louis Science Center and teaching at McKendree University and Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. In addition to teaching in the Department of Anthropology and Archaeology, Nolan is also the departmental advisor and teaches in the Honors College.
She is a resident of South City, St. Louis and is active in community programming, outreach, and historic preservation. Nolan specializes in antiquarian books and material culture and attended the Rare Book School at the University of Virginia and London Rare Books School at the University of London.
