Diane has made nursing her lifelong journey. She has acute care experience in adult med-surg, orthopedics, and IV therapy. She spent ten years at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center specializing in infant-toddler nursing. As an educator, Diane has taught at Northern Kentucky University; Northwest State Community College (NW Ohio); St. Louis Community College (Florissant Valley); and at UMSL. Diane excels in the classroom and clinical arena teaching courses from fundamentals to senior synthesis. She has expertise in the legal and ethical implications of nursing practice; nursing policy and procedure; and the Standard of Care; and has served as an expert nurse witness in nursing negligence cases across the country. As an early adopter of the use of simulation in nursing education, Diane is a certified healthcare simulation educator (CHSE).
