About
Dan began in the Honors College, where he teaches film, literature, and composition, in 2005. He advises honors students pursuing engineering, social work, and pre-health degrees or emphasis areas. Dan's preferred area for honors students who wish to complete part of their honors independent study or internship requirement with him is American Film (topics including, but not limited to, genre film, the New Hollywood, gender and film, star studies, and auteur studies), but he is also available for projects in literature and creative writing. He is the faculty adviser for two Honors College student publications: Brain Stew (student satirical publication) and Provenance (alumni news magazine), both of which have volunteer options and independent study options.
