About
A four-time graduate of The Juilliard School, violinist Corinne Bowman is the newest member of the Arianna String Quartet. She previously held the positions of Associate Professor at Florida State University and Concertmaster of the Tallahassee Symphony.
A dedicated chamber musician, Ms. Bowman has been featured on NPR's Performance Today and was a member of the Harrington String Quartet. She has collaborated with renowned artists such as clarinetists Richard Stoltzman and David Shifrin, and has performed with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. Her mentors have included members of the Juilliard, Cleveland, and Tokyo quartets, and she has recorded for multiple labels, including Naxos and Harmonia Mundi.
Ms. Bowman is also a passionate pedagogue and has taught at numerous festivals and schools, including the Brevard Music Center and Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival. She has appeared as a concerto soloist more than 50 times and has served as concertmaster for several orchestras, including as Assistant Concertmaster of the Rochester Philharmonic. Deeply committed to community engagement, she was the founding Artistic Director of Music For Food Tallahassee, a series dedicated to raising awareness and resources for food insecurity.
